GEORGE RUSSELL BENNETT George R. Bennett, 83, of Wellington, FL., died peacefully on April 27, 2008. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Fl., George served in the U.S. Army during WW ll and was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Florida Highway Patrol after 30 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his wife Barbara of 52 years and Children, Stephanie (Ron) Noel, Denise (Ron) La Foy and son Keith Bennett, 8 grandsons and 1 Granddaughter, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday May 1, 2008 from 6-9 PM with Funeral services Friday May 2, 2008 at 10:00 am at Palms West Funeral Home.
