George W Airey

George William Airey, 80 years old of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Sunday, June 14, 2020, due to complications of Parkinson's disease. Born in Washington, D.C., on December 13, 1939, George lived with his Father and Mother until her passing in 1948. He then lived with his Father's Aunt who ran a foster home in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he created very special bonds with his foster brothers and sisters. At age 13 he settled with his Father in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended High School. George went to college at Georgia Tech before serving 4 years with the United States Air Force, where he met his wife, Jackie. They were married for 15 years and raised two beautiful daughters together. Over the years George worked with the City of West Palm, Palm Beach County and for many years with Overland Construction as a Project Manager. George was a devoted, loving Father and Granddad who was always committed to his family and Catholic faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. George is survived by his two daughters, Anne Airey of Jupiter, FL, and Cathy Zubriski (husband Pete) of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and his four grandchildren; Ashlyn Zubriski, Brandon Zubriski, Justin Zubriski and Dillon Airey.
