Geoffrey Churchill, age 38, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, with the love of his family surrounding him. Geoffrey was born on October 31, 1983, in Wellington, Florida, attended Wellington High School, and was a graduate of the University of Florida. After graduation, he spent a short time in Atlanta and then returned to Wellington where he reconnected with the love of his life, wife, Samantha Mighdoll. In addition to his wife, Samantha, he will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Debra Johnson and William Churchill; his sister, Katherine (Frank) Knapfel; In-laws, Nancy (Frank – decd.) Pennea and Preston (Steve Johnson) Mighdoll; sisters-in-law, Emily (Matthew) Shultz and Diana (Anthony) Hoffmaster; Jessica (Matt) Aminoff; Adam Mitchell; nieces and nephews - Cole, Olivia, and Clara Knapfel, Nina and Bruno Shultz, Lyla and Jacob Hoffmaster; Gabby and Max Aminof; as well as numerous relatives, friends, and his beloved dog, Lolabear Churchdoll. Geoffrey is predeceased by his treasured maternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Johnson, paternal grandparents Charles and Evelyn Churchill, and Aunt Kathy Johnson. Geoffrey cared deeply and loved fiercely. A true "Renaissance Man", he loved both the sciences and the arts. His creativity could be seen in building and repurposing furniture, his self-taught guitar and piano skills, and his love for creating delicious culinary experiences for Samantha. He was always up for an adventure from diving off a diving board at 2, to skydiving his first week at UF, to his pursuit of catching the elusive peacock bass and other fish either from the shores of Lake Wellington or from his canoe. But more than anything, he was happiest spending time at home with Samantha and Lolabear. We will miss his caring heart, his tender eyes, and the best hugs under the sun. A special thanks to all the medical professionals, caretakers, his employer-Axtell Construction, friends and family that helped Geoffrey and our family during this difficult journey. There will be no services at this time. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
