Genevieve Marie Guelli (Roncone), 90, Wellington, Florida died on September 19, 2026 of natural causes. Jenny, known to her closest friends and family as Lovey, was born on July 13, 1936 in Rochester, NY to parents Peter and Michelina Roncone. She was married on June 24, 1961 to Frank Guelli and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together before his passing in 2023. Jenny graduated from Jefferson High school in 1955 and went on to receive a BA from Brockport State College in 1959. She then began a teaching career until giving birth to her first child in 1962. Many years later, while actively raising four children, she obtained her master’s degree from Nazareth College and resumed teaching. For over 20 years she was a beloved member of the Marion Central School District faculty where she shaped the hearts and minds of countless students-many of whom reached out to her years later to thank her for her positive impact on their lives. But Jenny saved her very best for her husband, children and grandchildren, devoting every free moment to nurturing, supporting and caring for each of them. It was her life’s purpose and she fulfilled it completely.

Frank and Jenny chose to raise their family in Walworth NY where they lived for over 40 years. Jenny was very active in the Walworth community, assisting the Walworth Lions Club to prepare for several charity events, participating in her children’s youth sports leagues, supporting her husband's efforts as town supervisor and volunteering for a variety of town events like the bicentennial parade and annual street dance.

Of her many wonderful attributes, perhaps her greatest was her genuine concern for the welfare of others, which extended beyond her family and her students to anyone fortunate enough to call her a friend. Her husband Frank used to say he never needed to worry because Lovey worried enough for both of them. But she didn’t just worry about others. She acted on that concern by always showing up for everyone in her life, no matter what.

Jenny leaves behind a sad but enormously grateful family including her sons Joseph (Sallyanne), Peter (Patricia) and Samuel (Kristin) and daughter Meline, grandchildren Gunner, Emily, Frankie (Allie), Jake, Grayson, Max, Katrina, Joey and Cooper, sisters-in-law Carmelita and Josephine, Brother-in law Russ, several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Peter and Michelina an infant daughter Mary Frances, brother Anthony Roncone, sister-in law Beverly Roncone, brother-in law Mike Donovan, numerous aunts and uncles, and dear friend Beatrice Tarana. A private family service will be held in Florida on October 24, 2026. Donations can be made in her name to Aquinas Institute 1127 Dewey Avenue, Rochester NY 14613, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
