Gary John Fischer

Gary John Fischer, 57, of Loxahatchee, Florida died at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Florida on Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born in Strawberry Point, Iowa on May 23, 1957, the second son of Ambrose Oscar Fischer and Norma Francis Ann (Berns) Fischer. Gary was baptized on May 30, 1957 at St. Mary's Church, Strawberry Point, Iowa by Father Robert Palen. He Graduated from Ed-Co High school in Edgewood, Iowa on May of 1975. Gary entered the United States Marine Corps in July of 1977, serving honorably until July of 1981. In 1985 he joined the "SFWMD" South Florida Water Management District and worked there until his death in May of 2015. Gary was an extremely hard worker that loved staying busy. In his spare time he was always working on his house, yard, boat or corvettes. For those he loved and that loved him in return, He will be missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his two children Melissa (Michael) Hughlett of Boynton Beach, Florida and Jason Fischer of Boynton Beach, Florida; 4 grandchildren; Ally, Chris, Michael Jr. and Makayla Grace. Two Brothers; Michael Fischer of Monticello, Iowa and Joseph Fischer of Texas. Two sisters; Rosalee Fischer of Arlington, Iowa and Susan (Greg) Clark of Elkader, Iowa. As well as, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
