Gary Lee Dickinson

Gary Lee Dickinson peacefully passed away at home on February 19th 2026 surrounded by his family holding his hand. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus Christ-fully healed, restored, and whole.

Gary is survived by his beautiful wife of 46 years Charlene Dickinson, his oldest daughter and son in law Leanne & Joseph Adams, his youngest daughter Erica Dickinson and his 3 grandchildren Alena, Alexa and Jaxson. Also survived by his Brother and sister in law Carl & Doris Holgerson, nephews Greg & Jason Holgerson, and Tommy Howard. Along with many wonderful extended family, friends and fellow brothers & sisters in law enforcement.

Predeceased by parents George & Betty Dickinson. Sisters JoAnn Poe & Linda Dickinson. Niece Tracy Maniccia. Along with brother Deputy James R. Dickinson, who was killed in the line of duty with Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office.

Gary proudly served as a dedicated deputy sheriff for 42 years with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the North Palm Beach Police Department. Gary’s career and experience spanned from the SWAT Team, Motors Unit, Detective to the Metropolitan Organized Crime Unit.

Gary was a loving and dedicated husband, father and provider. He enjoyed making him memories with his family and of course a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. He regularly attended Grace Fellowship with this family on Sundays and tacos for lunch. Sundays are for God & family.

In loving memory of Gary Dickinson a memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 2:00p at the Palms West Funeral Home at 110 Business Park Way Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411

Gathering begins at 2:00pm, Service begins at 3:00 pm, promptly.
