Garrick Gérard Joseph was born on April 28, 1958 to Gérard and Elizabeth Joseph in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Garrick spent many of this formative years in the province of Léogane, Haiti. This is where Garrick's love of nature developed. In his teens, he went back to the capital city of Port-Au-Prince to complete his education. In 1980, Garrick immigrated to the United States settling in Queens, New York with his parents and siblings. He lived in close proximity to many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he cherished greatly. It was due to these close familial ties and friendships that led Garrick to the love of his life, Marjorie Saint Urbain. After a three year courtship, Garrick and Marjorie were married in 1985. They started a family in 1986 with their first son, Randolph (Randy) and in 1991 their second son Reginald (Reggy) was born. Shortly thereafter, Garrick and Marjorie decided to leave New York and head south to warmer weather. They made their home in Palm Bay, Florida where they raised Randy and Reggy. For the last eleven years, they lived in Grant, Florida in the home that Garrick and Marjorie designed together. Garrick was a talented craftsman who lived his dream of building his home with his own two hands. He was able to put his appreciation of great architecture and his artistic sense to work. His family and home were his pride and joy. Garrick was a devoted husband, loving father, dedicated son and lovable brother. He was compassionate and caring to everyone, always putting himself last. His joyful spirit and infectious smile will be sorely missed by many. Garrick is survived by his wife Marjorie, his two sons Randy and Reggy, his mother Elizabeth, his brothers Ralph, Gérard Jr., Carlo and Jean, his sisters Jocelyn, Chantal, Margaret, Gina and Marie-Carmelle, many aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
