Gabrielle Annette Mooney Battaglia (51) of West Palm Beach, Fla., a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met passed away October 26, 2010. Gabby was the last of 11 children born to loving and devoted parents, Marion and Bob Mooney. Gabby was raised in West Palm Beach and went on to graduate from John I Leonard High School. Once graduated, childhood sweethearts Gabby and Ralph Battaglia sealed their loved with marriage and became the proud parents of two sons, Ralph III, who has preceded her in death, and Timothy Robert Battaglia. Gabby was a proud Gator Mom. Her son Timothy graduated with honors and a civil engineering degree from the University of Florida. Gabby was a woman with a simplistic nature and a heart that captivated you as she walked in the room. One would find that Gabby's smile and laughter was contagious and she embellished happiness at it's very best. No one could help but absolutely adore her spirit that gave her a glow that was undeniable. Gabby was a whirlwind of enchantment, beauty, compassion and an undying love for her family and friends. She could light up a room with her smile, laughter and warm heart and will be greatly missed and forever loved. She is survived by her husband Ralph Battaglia Jr., son Timothy and grandson Ralph IV. The "baby" of her ten siblings, she is predeceased father Robert Tompson Mooney and survived by her mother Marion Mooney, sisters Sharon and husband Skip Bouvier, Judith and husband Charlie Dunn, Kathy and husband Louie Barwell, Pat and husband Bill Casale, Carolyn and husband Scott Moore, and Maria Barwell; brothers Robert and wife Sarah Mooney, Timothy and wife Stacey Mooney, Shawn and wife Nance Mooney, and Erik and wife Lisa Mooney and many nieces and nephews. Gabby is also survived by sister-in-law Linda and her husband Bobby Krier and Mary Ann and husband Paul Dailey. Brother-in-law Fred and wife Annette Battaglia. Mother-in-law Rose Battaglia. Services will be held on Friday, October 29 with visitation beginning at 4 PM and services at 6 PM at the Palms West Funeral Home.
