Fritz W. Massie

Fritz W. Massie, age 74, passed away at his home in West Palm Beach, FL, surrounded by his family on Monday, October 29, 2012. He was born on November 12, 1937 in Painted Post, New York to Frank and Phyllis Massie. He attended Painted Post High School where he received awards for basketball and baseball. Fritz married the true love of his life, Suzanne Shaw, on October 9, 1965, which he said was the proudest moment of his life. The second proudest moment was when he and Suzanne opened Fritz Massie Fence Co., in 1969, after working for his uncles at Overton Budget Fencing. Fritz received several awards for excellence in fence installation. Fritz and Suzanne were avid golfers. He enjoyed his many rounds with Bob, Curly, and Pastor Landy. He also enjoyed playing basketball for the Greenacres Senior team as well as the Maranatha Church golf league. They shared their love of Disney World with many trips they took with family and friends. Fritz is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne; children, Linda (Dan) Narde, Kenny Wasson, Donald (Nancy) Massie, Perry (Janice) Massie, Denny (Tammy) Massie; brothers, David (Mary Margaret) Massie, Timmy (Debbie) Massie; sisters, Patty Ryan, Margo Loewke, Phyllis Sanderson; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10:00 am, with family receiving friends at 9:30 am. Burial to follow.
