Frederick Donald Whorms

Frederick Donald Whorms born August 30, 1926 passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 2, 2017 with his wife of 47 years at his side. He was born on the Island of Jamaica and lived a long and fulfilling life. He leaves behind his wife Leonie as well as his two daughters Michelle (Tommy) Thomas and Jacquie (Aaron) Katzel. He was preceded by his son Patrick who passed on August 4, 1979. He also leaves behind two granddaughters and two grandsons as well as numerous nieces and nephews and longtime friends. Frederick grew up in Jamaica and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1977 where he worked as an auto mechanic eventually owning his own shop until retiring at the age of 70. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Thursday August 10 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday August 11 at 10:00 at Grace Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Grace Episcopal Church at 3600 N. Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407
