May 13, 1929 — May 17, 2018

Frank Joseph Plageman, Junior, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep in West Palm Beach, FL on May 17 with his wife holding his hand, his son at his side and having spent the previous few days with family and friends celebrating his 89th birthday (on Mother's Day). He was born May 13, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frank, also known as "Friendly Frank", will be remembered as never meeting a stranger – a man who acted with love in his heart committed to his faith, wife, family, friends, and career. Frank is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy/Petty) Plageman, his five kids, Linda, Christine (Chris), Theresa (Terry), Frank, and Mary, his 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Lyndsy, Michael, Robert, Michael, Johanna, Caitlin, John, Frank, Brian, Tyler, and Matthew, and his two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Elliot. Originally from Ohio, Frank married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Peggy, and in 1957, they moved to Miami, Florida to raise their kids. He loved his children and grandchildren and being able to spend so much time with them as they grew up. Frank cherished the memories he made with friends made through the Christian Family Movement at Visitation Parish. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed attending mass and getting to know the priests at his parishes, St. Rita's in Wellington, FL and Visitation in Miami, FL. Frank will be missed for his outgoing personality and love of his family, especially his wife, Peggy. He lived in Wellington, FL since 1991, moving here to be closer to family after retiring as comptroller at Hialeah and Gulfstream Race Tracks. During retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, refurbishing sailboats with his son-in-law, Bob and sailing to the Bahamas with family and friends. He was predeceased in life by his mother and father, Frank and Heloise Plageman, and brothers, Robert, Joe and Greg. Mass for Frank will be this Friday, May 25th, 11 am at St. Rita Parish, 13645 Paddock Drive, Wellington, FL 33414 followed by a celebration of his life at his home. The spiritual care by Fr. Omar Ayubi, medical care by Dr. Bill Stechschulte and Trustrbridge and computer support from Robert Mouring are so appreciated by his wife, Peggy. They were good friends to Frank. Please make memorial donation in lieu of flowers to St. Vincent de Paul Seminary Development Office, 10701 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL 33436 or at www.SVDP.edu
