His entrepreneurial pursuits began with a car detailing business followed by a successful career at Rye Ford in Rye, NY. He then began a lucrative business of his own by opening Pride Auto Exchange in Port Chester, NY, dealing with the luxury preowned car market. Although it was highly successful, Frank was ready for a change and a professional challenge. Frank was introduced to log homes by a friend, Ole Johnsen, who was importing them from Norway to the US. From that moment Frank wanted to pursue getting into building and selling log homes. Frank contacted a high school friend that was in construction, Vincent Giacci to see if he wanted to be a partner in the idea. Soon thereafter Frank, Vinnie and Ed Perazone established Alta Industries Ltd. AKA Alta Log Homes to manufacture and build custom log homes in 1971. The company has distributed its products nationally and internationally. In 2009 Frank established Log Home Lodging LLC where people could experience the joy of log home living. Frank was a big fan of boxing and an avid golfer. He lived his life to the fullest. Frank was very compassionate for others and donated to multiple charities. Over the years he was involved in getting the MARK Project started with his partners in Alta and others in the community. In 1981 he donated the Kelly Round Barn to the Erpf Catskill Cultural Center. The Barn has been the site of the Pakatakan Farmers Market since 1996. A small cabin was donated to the Margaretville Chamber of Commerce for use as an information booth. Frank and MaryAnn, who was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, donated a log home kit as a fund raiser. Frank is survived by his son Frank, son David and wife MaryLuz and daughter Karen.
