Cpl. Frank Bovino, Sr., a decorated veteran, dedicated public servant, and beloved patriarch, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born September 2, 1932, in the Bronx, New York, Frank was a proud first-generation American, the son of Aniello and Nancy Bovino, who emigrated from Naples, Italy.

Frank’s life was defined by a profound sense of duty. He served with distinction in the 3rd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War from January 1953 to December 1954, where he earned the Bronze Star for his courage and service. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home to build a life of continuous service to his community. Throughout his career, Frank served as a member of the Crane Operators Union, a Deputy Sheriff, and a Police Officer with the Lantana Police Department, where he was awarded the Police Combat Cross. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge as well as a Little League coach for baseball and roller hockey.

He is predeceased in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Bovino, whom he married on February 19, 1954. They shared 55 years of devotion before her passing on February 14, 2009. His legacy of strength and service lives on through his children: Frank (Vanny), Neil (Lynn), Robert (Gearri), Ronald, Phyllis (Chris), and Nancy; as well as his 21 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Cpl. Frank Bovino will be laid to rest with military honors on Wednesday 3/11/26 in accordance with his final wishes.
