FRANCIS X. FEMMINELLA Royal Palm Beach, FL and Selkirk, NY went to the Lord on Sunday October 11, 2009. Pre-deceased by father, Lawrence Femminella. Survived by loving wife, Concetta (Cianciotto); son, Lawrence; daughter, Maria Rodden (Paul); sister, Linda Raab (Ted); grandchildren, Robbie (Melody), Frank (Margarita), Christina, Paul, Sandra (Pablo); great-granddaughter and many cherished nieces, nephews and family. Doctor Femminella was professor Emeritus of State University of New York at Albany, and a Psychiatric Social Worker. He was the chairman of Advisory committee on ethnic studies to President Ford and Carter. A member of committee on Aging to the White House. Author of many studies on ethnicity and citizen. Founding member of the America Italian Historical Association, Sons of Italy in Albany New York and many professional associations. Enjoyed community volunteerism, Board of Trustees, Hillside House Ravena New York, Selkirk Fire Department and Advocate Palm Beach Diocese Tribunal. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home today 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 14, 2009 3 PM at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
