Frances Castiglione

Frances Castiglione, age 75, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on January 22, 2016. Frances was born on February 1, 1940. Frances was born in Sicily, Italy. At the age of twelve, came to America with her family and settled in New York. She enjoyed going to school in America and would often boast about how she was the best speller in her class. At the age of 16, she met the love of her life, Sal, and on October 4, 1958, they married and began their story together. They began a new chapter in life with the start of their family when their beautiful baby boy Frank was born in 1960 Eventually settling in Hialeah, Florida, years later they were ecstatic to welcome a baby girl, Rosanne, and their story would continue. Frances was an amazing seamstress, and still to this day has a pile of clothes awaiting her by her sewing machine from family and friends. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society, of which she so enjoyed. Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and even more so grandmother. She would spend hours cooking for family and friends, and loved to feed everyone. Everything she cooked was amazing. When others attempted to make her sauce, they found it could not be replicated, allthough still tasty, but just not the same. Family research determined that it was because no one had access to her secret ingredients, a dash of her love as a wife, a pinch of her love as a mother, and a teaspoon of her love as a Nonna. Everything she cooked was amazing, but a unanimous vote concluded the family favorites were her manicotti, meatballs and of course her chicken cutlets. To carry in their hearts forever, Frances leaves behind her beloved husband, Sal, of 57 years; her two children Frank and Rosanne; her three grandchildren Kayla, Francesca, and Salverio; and the countless others she touched the hearts of. Family and friends will gather at Palms West Funeral Home. 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Florida on Monday January 26, 2016 from 4-9PM. Service will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Drive, Wellington FL 33414 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 27, 2016.
