It is with deep sorrow and unwavering faith that we announce the passing of Filomena Lena DePalo, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 25, 2026. She passed away, at the age of 77.
Born on March 10, 1949 in Cervinara Avellino, Italy; Filomena immigrated to the United States in 1977. Throughout her life, Filomena was a woman of strength, courage, and determination. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family and embraced the sacrifices she made, because her greatest purpose was caring for those she loved. Her work ethic, resilience, and unwavering dedication were matched only by her deep faith in Jesus Christ. She trusted God through every challenge, finding strength in Him and serving as an example of perseverance and humility.
She never missed an opportunity to share the hope, love, and truth of the Gospel with others. Whether through her words, her prayers, or the way she lived each day, she faithfully pointed people to Christ and encouraged everyone she met to know His saving grace and unconditional love.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Nicola DePalo; sons, Giuseppe DePalo and his wife, Giovana; Guy DePalo and his wife, Amy; Nick DePalo and his wife, Andrea; her beloved grandchildren, Bianca, Matteo, John, Gianna, James, Isabella, Sofia, Ariana, and Nick; and her great-granddaughter, Paisley; as well as siblings Tony Capuano and Ester Soldi; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaetano Capuano and Maria Felicia (Milanese) Capuano, brother Joe Capuano, and sister Lidia Anello.
While her family mourns her absence, they rejoice in the assurance of God's promise that she is now at peace in His presence. Her legacy is one of determination, generosity, and steadfast devotion to both God and family.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate her life at Grace Fellowship Church located at 8350 Okeechobee Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL. 33411 on Saturday, August 8th at 11am.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." — John 11:25–26
