Fernando Rodriguez, Sr

Fernando Rodriguez Sandoval age 88. Born in Atenas, Alajuela, Costa Rica December 19th 1933 where he lived had a long family lineage from his mother's side Berta Sandoval Gatjens. Juan De Los Santos Gatjens Timm arrived in Costa Rica around 1848 from Hamburg, Germany and married in Costa Rica and remained in Atenas. His father was Miguel Antonio Cordero, he was also born in Atenas. Fernando lived most his life in Pahokee, FL where he had a successful Upholstery business. He later moved with his family to Royal Palm Beach, FL to provide for them a better life. He was a passionate man who came to this country without much in order to provide a good life for his family in Costa Rica. He created his own family in the United States after being here and meeting his lovely wife Lilia Rodriguez Sotolongo. They were married for 43 years before she passed away in 2015. He is survived by his sons Jairo Rodriguez and Fernando Rodriguez Jr, his grandchildren Fernando Rodriguez III, Jasmine Rodriguez and Anthony Rodriguez all which he loved beyond measure. His brother Francisco, his sister Rita, and his sister Ledyz. He loved very much his entire family and friends. His memory will forever live in our hearts until the end of time. He passed away July 5th 2022.
