Fernando Tortelli Ferreira, 50, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife, Gracy Diaz Ferreira.
Fernando was an amazing person inside and out—an incredible, loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend. He brought light, energy, and joy wherever he went.
He was born on August 20, 1975, in São Paulo, Brazil, where he lived until the age of 11. He then moved with his mother and brother to Paterson, New Jersey, to join his father and begin a new chapter in the United States. After a few years, the family relocated to Florida, settling in West Palm Beach, where Fernando built a life rooted in family, hard work, and community.
Fernando worked for the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department as a Procurement Specialist. He truly loved his job and was always willing to help others. Outside of work, he was most often found cheering on his daughters at their volleyball games or sharing his passion for music as a DJ at various events. Music was his passion, and serving others was simply who he was.
He had a vibrant spirit and a personality that could light up any room—or any dance floor. Fernando also had a deep love for sports. No matter the game, he knew it all. He loved soccer and watching his beloved Brazilian national team, he was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan, a ride-or-die Florida Seminoles fan, and loved music! He was proud to be an American, but even more proud to be a husband and father.
Fernando is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Gracy Diaz Ferreira, and their two daughters, Anissa (20) and Arianna (15). He is also survived by his mother, Suely Tortelli Ferreira; his brother, Anderson Tortelli Ferreira (Kathy);his aunt, Benedita Welsh Tortelli; and his cousin, Sergio Tortelli (Tatihanna); He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members in Brazil.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jair Antonio Ferreira, and his uncle, Sergio Tortelli.
Fernando’s legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on through his family and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
