Felipa Loaces
"Mima"
1934 – 2026
Felipa Loaces, lovingly known as "Mima," passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Wellington, Florida. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Felipa was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, to Nicolas and Margarita. She was one of 17 children and grew up in a very loving family. After immigrating to the United States in the early 1970's with her husband Juan, and their four children, she worked diligently to build a better life for her family. She taught her children to love God, family, honest work, and to appreciate the family's newfound freedom in the United States. She gave selflessly to all and everyone gravitated to her because of her zest for life and compassion for people. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was actively involved in their lives.
At the heart of Mima's life was her beloved children whom she built a family filled with love, one that grew across generations. Mima is survived by her 4 adult children, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; and the countless friends who were lucky enough to call her a friend and confidante. She leaves behind a legacy of love, patience, and fidelity that will live on in every heart she touched.
The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411.A burial service will follow on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
Though we grieve her passing, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a love that will never fade. Rest peacefully, Mima. You were, and always will be, so deeply loved.
