Evelyn Shamp

Evelyn Shamp, 86, longtime resident of Royal Palm Beach and Westford, MA died quietly and peacefully on January 28, 2017. Evelyn was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on May 9, 1930 to Walter and Lena Roe. Evelyn, an Army Korean veteran, traveled extensively with her husband, Richard, who served in the US Army for 22 years. Upon retiring, they settled in Westford, MA where Evelyn served as a longtime volunteer at the All Saints' Thrift Shop in Chelmsford, MA. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard (1993), her daughter, Sharon Lennan (1996), and her son, Richard Shamp Jr. (January, 2017). Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Susan Mailloux (Scott) of Palm Beach Gardens; Karen McDermott (John) of Royal Palm Beach; Cathy Shamp of Lowell, MA; Sandra McCullin of Tampa, as well as her grandchildren: Jeff and Danny Mailloux, Andrea Shamp, Makenzie Lennan, Kyle McCullin and great grandchildren: Dylan and Ben Mailloux. Both Evelyn and her son, Richard, will be buried at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery on Thursday, February 9th.
