Evelyn Maldonado

Evelyn Maldonado, age 73, of Royal Palm Beach, FL passed away on September 26, 2021. Evelyn was born (and grew up) on September 18, 1948 to Samuel and Frieda Levine in the Bronx, NY, where she lived and raised her own family until 1992 when she moved to Florida to live out the rest of her life. Preceeding Evelyn in her death was her Husband, Luis (Junior) Maldonado, and her parents. Evelyn is survived by her children Joseph and his wife Jennifer of Cocoa Beach, FL, Luis and his wife Kimberly of Virginia Beach, VA and Stephanie of Middletown, New York. Her sisters Brenda of Ellenville, New York, Marilyn of Brooklyn, New York, Iris of Pompano Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a proud Grandmother of eight, Crystal, Daniel, Joseph, Alicia, Christopher, Tyler, Michael and Tiana and Great Grandmother of nine. Evelyn was also called Mom, Grandma and Aunt by many others (of all ages) she unofficially adopted into her family and her life. She was loved by everyone. Evelyn was a loyal and loving person who believed in making lifelong friendships including Rachel, Donda, Judy, Pauline, as well as Gary and Dina, whom she lived with for close to 30 years, and many others. Evelyn loved photography, arts/crafts, travelling, collecting coins, having yard sales and of course being with her family. She found ways to combine all these things to keep everyone smiling and laughing (even during rough times). We have been changed for good for knowing Evelyn. A viewing for Evelyn will be on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 3 to 5 pm with a service directly after at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach, FL. Evelyn will then take her final flight to New York. There will be a viewing Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 10am - 10:45 am at Sisto Funeral Home in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, New York. Immediately following, we will see Evelyn to her final resting place with her husband, who has been patiently awaiting her arrival at St. Raymond's Cemetery Bronx, NY at 11:15am.
