Evelyn Colleen (James) Hall born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania in 1932. Her parents were Morris and Grace James, and her younger brother Robert. Evelyn and her parents and brother lived with her grandparents, Floyd and Frederica Groff, where Floyd was a local policeman. Evelyn, nicknamed Sis by her parents, and Evie by her friends, grew up in Wyomissing. She attended high school there where she first met Jim Hall. Evelyn went to Albright College in Reading, PA and was the first female college graduate in her family. She dated Jim through college, and they were married shortly after he graduated. They had three children: Liz, Shelly and Ted. Evelyn and Jim made many moves for Jim's career, including one to Tokyo, Japan. They loved travel and taking trips all over the world, many times with the whole family. They settled in Malvern, PA where Jim and Evelyn's father built a beautiful home, Jim and Evelyn ware members of St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ where Evelyn was an Elder for several years. After living in the Malvern area for more than 30 years, they decided to relocate to warmer weather in Delray Beach, FL living on the intracoastal waterway for 13 years and later downsizing to Lake Worth for the past 10 years. Evelyn died peacefully on New Year's Day, January 1, 2025. She is survived by her brother, Robert, her three children-Liz, Shelly (Pete), Ted (Michelle), 7 grandchildren-Lauren, Lindsay, Colleen (Joe), James, David, Meaghan (Manny), and Graceanne (Gus); and three great-grandchildren- Skylar, Wesley and Rein and her beloved Malti-Poo-Rosie. There will be private family service at 10:30 am, with burial to follow, on Saturday, January 11 at St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Milli Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425.
