Ethel Maguire Raby

Ethel Maguire Raby passed away on August 3, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born in Preston, Lancashire, England on December 28, 1927. As a World War II bride, she moved to Franklin, NC, but lived the majority of her life in Palm Beach County, FL. She worked in retail sales for 30 years in Pahokee, and following retirement moved to Wellington. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry, her son, James and granddaughter, Shelley. She will be dearly missed by her two daughters: Maxine Moon of Corinth, MS and Carlene R. Walker (Barnie) of Wellington, FL, four grandchildren: Penny Smith (Danny), Sheila Schoefield (Jim), Dr. Bryan Moon (Melissa) and Eric Raby (Alicia), 21 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel was blessed with a kind and loving spirit and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a devout Catholic and lived her faith as a member of St. Rita's Parish. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the St. Rita Homeless Ministry, 13645 Paddock Drive, Wellington, FL 33414. The family will receive friends at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL on Tuesday, August, 6 from 6pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Dr., Wellington, FL on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10 AM followed by the Rite of Committal at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL.
