Slaman, Esther Morrow Esther Morrow Slaman passed away on September 21, 2022. She was blessed to live 91 years. Esther was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 18, 1931, to the late Theodore and Evelyn Morrow. She grew up in Cleveland and attended Notre Dame Academy. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1953 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. While at Ohio State, Esther was enrolled in an Economics class where she met fellow student Allen Slaman, whom she later married. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his death in 2018. Esther was a homemaker who supported her husband's career in land development, but always found a way to fulfill her own talent in home decoration, fashion, cooking and gardening. After she no longer was able to do heavy gardening outdoors, she turned her talents to growing orchids. Esther is survived by her five beloved children: Prof. Theodore A. Slaman (Theresa), Elizabeth E. Walker (Kit), Dr. James A. Slaman (Cynthia), Robert A. Slaman (Susan) and Dr. Rebecca S. Balikci (Turgut); thirteen grandchildren: Esther, Elias (deceased), Franceska, Katrina, Konrad, Robert, Kristin, Alyssa, Hannah, Lara, Eve, Jude and Vini; and great-grandson Eric. Grave side services will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery located on Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of sending flowers, please give an orchid to someone you love.
