On Saturday, October 19, Erin Fearon Fernandez left this world peacefully surrounded by her closest friends and family. Erin was a vibrant woman that lifted the energy of every room she walked into. Whether it was meant to be a party or not, it turned into one when she arrived. She was joyous, thoughtful, and nurturing. Not only did she fill her children with love, but she made sure to do it for their friends as well. The front door was always open, there was always plenty of food "in case", nobody needed permission to be there, and if you needed a home hers was yours and there was no question about it. While she "technically" had three children, Brie, Nick and Deana, countless people called her "Mom". There was never a baseball game, cheer competition, or theater show night that she wasn't met with a group hug from her bonus children. She wanted her kids to experience a life full of joy, laughter, music, and special memories and that is exactly what she and Bruce did. While they were married for twenty-two years, it seemed like Bruce & Erin had known each-other for an eternity. There have never been two people on this planet, more in-sync or in love than the two of them. They were truly each other's "always down" partners in crime. If one had an idea, the other made it happen, and made it happen with LAUGHTER. While 22 years seems like a good bit to some people, no amount of time would have been enough, but we are so sure that they will be together in every lifetime. While Erin was an incredible wife and mother, we're sure that many of you would agree that she was also a phenomenal friend. For so many people, she was the first they would call with good news, bad news, or to ask why the PBSO helicopter was circling around their office. She was adoringly called "the Mayor" because if she didn't have the latest neighborhood news she would know exactly who to call to get the answer you were looking for. Erin was a light in every life she interacted with, the world will be a bit dimmer without her in it.
