Erika Helene Craighead

Erika Helene Craighead, 77, passed away on February 20th 2006 in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. She was born on 15 April 1929 in Bremen, Germany and was the youngest daughter of Wilhelm and Frida Reeh (Sothen). In 1948, she married William E. Craighead from Cambria in the Roanoke, Virginia area. She followed her husband on tours of duty overseas in Germany, Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico, then to West Palm Beach AFB, Florida, Turner AFB, Georgia, and Forbes AFB, Kansas. Erika and Bill returned to West Palm Beach after his retirement in 1971. Erika is survived by her son Michael of Omaha, Nebraska, daughter Angela Billig of St Louis, Missouri, daughters Stephanie, Renee Adams, and Linda Clough. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Stacy, Thomas, Joseph, Erika, Brian Junior, Dylan, Matt, Amanda and great grand children Jack, Lilly, and Angelina. Her husband, Bill passed away 2 months earlier on 29 December 2006. Erika will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. Services will be held at a later date in Lafayette, Virginia and at Arlington National Cemetery
