In 1974, Emilinda met Amorsolo and they courted for a year then were married on July 12, 1975, in Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines. This blessed union produced Avon in 1976, Aaron in 1977, Ava in 1978, Alvaro in 1987 and Aira in 1992. In 2007, Emilinda and Amorsolo immigrated to West Palm Beach, Florida where they stayed with their daughter Ava to care for three of their grandchildren. Emilinda is a woman of strong faith and has a relentless devotion to bringing honor to God. Every day she would always pray the Holy Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet, which were her favorite forms of prayer. She participated in the Holy Mass every Sunday at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church and was an active member of the Couples for Christ-Handmaids of the Lord community. Emilinda had a strong commitment to her family and community. She is a positive force of hope, spreading joy and kindness wherever she goes.
