Eloina Josefina Rodriguez, age 93, of Havana, Cuba, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. Born on March 20, 1932, Eloina was cherished by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.

Early Life and Education

Eloina was born in Havana, Cuba, to Herminio Alvarez de la Campa, who worked as an accountant, and Eloina Romero, an entrepreneur. She attended el Colegio de las Ursulinas, where she earned her high school diploma. Pursuing her passion for music, she studied piano at el Conservatorio Amadeo Roldan. Later, Eloina furthered her education at el Instituto de Cienca in Havana, where she took studies in the field of pharmaceuticals.

Family and Personal Life

Eloina is survived by her beloved husband, Enrique Rodriguez, her daughter, Lazara Hurd, and her son-in-law, Wayne Hurd. She was a devoted grandmother to Adam Hurd and Bianca Garcia Gonzalez. Eloina also leaves behind her nieces, Emmas Ortiz and Carmen Verdecia, all of whom were dear to her.

Service and Remembrance

A memorial service to celebrate Eloina’s life will be held on January 7, 2026, at 8:30 AM at Palm West Funeral Home in West Palm Beach, Florida. This will be followed by a Resurrection Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, Florida. Eloina will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Charity Catholic Cemetery in Doral, Florida.

Eloina will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
