Elizabeth Shea

Elizabeth Lucille Shea, 78, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. She was born on October 16, 1947, in Washington, D.C.

Elizabeth, known as “Betty” to her friends, had a love for flowers, swimming, and fishing. Betty attended Florida State University, where she graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While attending FSU, she was a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Alpha Eta Chapter.

Betty career started as a training director for The Hecht Company in Washington, D.C., and later worked for the State of Florida in human resources, working in personnel administration.

Betty is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert P. Shea; her sister, Lani Stoddard; and her brother, William Thelemann.

A memorial service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411.
