ELIZABETH ANN VICKERS 'Bette' 62, passed away at home Friday, March 7, 2008, after a long illness. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, and was a longtime Wellington resident. Bette was an active member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church. She worked as an office manager in the dental industry for many years. She loved life and adored her family. She enjoyed traveling, cruising in her ?58 Chevy and being with her best friend and husband Bill. Bette is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart of 41 years, William L. Vickers. Daughter of the late Thomas H. Blacklock and Elva Hughes of Middleboro, Massachusetts. Bette is also survived by her daughters, Michele Troncoso (George) of Huntsville, Alabama and Jennifer Allen (Brian) of Asheville, North Carolina; and her son, William L. Vickers, Jr. (Amanda) of Fort Pierce, Florida; grandchildren, Brendyn and Camdyn Allen of Asheville, North Carolina; sister, Virginia Skinner of Carver, Massachusetts; numerous friends and family members; and her four legged companion Dixie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Wellington, Florida. (12200 W. Forest Hill Blvd.) Immediately following the service the family will be accepting visitors in the fellowship hall.
