Elise Mcnees Ryan

Elise M Ryan of Loxahatchee Groves, FL and formerly Jackson, MS died at 2:24PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, FL. She was born on July 22, 1946 in Chicago, IL to James C McNees and Sheila Newland Allen. She married John Charles Ryan on June 10, 1966 in their hometown of Jackson. She is survived by her husband, her 3 siblings, Pamela Crawford of Lake Worth, Scott McNees of West Palm Beach and Alexandra Greene of Fountain Hills, AZ, as well as her 3 children, Marian Ryan Birdsall of Alamo, CA, John Brennan Ryan of Atlanta, GA, and Lisa Ryan Howard of Brooklyn, NY and her 8 grandchildren, a niece and two nephews. Her father and mother preceded her in death. Elise was a longtime resident of Loxahatchee Groves, FL where she was active in the town community, her business, Color Garden Farms and Palm Beach County & State Nursery Associations. Prior to Loxahatchee Groves, Elise was an international financial officer at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. She attended and graduated from Wellesley College and Millsaps College, respectively. She was a life-partner extraordinaire to John, devoted mother and grandmother, generous friend, and a passionate dog-lover. She enjoyed chronicling her rich family history, entertaining friends, tirelessly advocating for good government in her community, cheering on her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors and traveling to be with her widely dispersed family. The memorial service to celebrate her life and example is from 10:30AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach.
