DEROSA, Elijah Anthony Elijah Anthony DeRosa, born October 31, 1989 in Baton Rouge, LA passed away as a result of a vehicular homicide on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Elijah was a graduate of Florida International University School of Law, class of 2016. He was admitted into the Florida Bar in October, 2016. Elijah was employed as an associate lawyer with the Ovadia Law Group, Boca Raton, FL. He was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, class of 2012, and graduated Palm Beach Central High School in 2008. Elijah was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, General James Patton Anderson Camp #1599. Elijah donated his time to teach civics education to convicted felons at a maximum security prison. Elijah was a voracious reader since an early age. His favorite subjects were politics, history and religion. He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were The West Virginia Mountaineers (football and basketball), and the Miami Dolphins. But his favorite sport was soccer. His number one team was Manchester United. He made several trips to Old Trafford in England to see United play. Among Elijah's many and varied interests were the beauty of Florida, especially its beaches, weightlifting, Xbox, music, and literature. Elijah was devoted to his family and friends. A few months ago, Elijah met the love of his life, Miss Tiffany Ross. They were in the beginning stages of planning for an April/May wedding. Elijah had an incredible intellect and was determined to use that gift for the pursuit of justice and truth. He had a warrior spirit and an intense love for God. Elijah is survived by his parents, Dr. Marshall and Mary DeRosa; his sisters, Isabella DeRosa (partner Michael Johnson) and Abigail DeRosa (fiancé Ken Luba); brother, Ian DeRosa; his precious nephew Karson Luba; his fiancé, Miss Tiffany Ross; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a family of friends. He was preceded in death by his unborn brother, Ethan Jude DeRosa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Therese de Lisieux Catholic Church, 11800 Lake Worth Rd., Wellington, FL 33449. The Reverend Brian Lehnert will be officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
