Edward George Tragas

Edward George Tragas, 52, died suddenly on February 7th, 2019 in the comfort of his parents' home due to cardiac arrest. Eddie was a loving son to Mary and Jimmy, a passionate father to his daughter Tiara from his first marriage to Tammy, as well as a wonderful uncle to Alexander and Samantha. Eddie is survived by these family members and is now joining his sister Cathy in heaven. Eddie's talents were many, he was an accomplished family man, a selfless friend, and made an impression on anyone who crossed his path. Born in Brooklyn New York, December 27th 1966, Eddie became a passionate musician by the age of 10 months old, listening to his dad's music and replicating the beat with his hands. His musical talents took him very far and made him the excellent drummer and producer that he was. Eddie worked as a computer operator in the information systems department for Palm Beach County for 11 years as well as Dade County School system for 10 years. He was best known for his ability to meet any challenge and lend a helping hand to just about everyone. Eddie was the type of man that would give you "the shirt off his back". He was very passionate about helping others with their future and financial planning and spent the last few years of his life learning everything he could about the insurance world and opportunities for his families and friends futures. He was very proud of his daughter, who he spent the most time motivating from a young girl to get an academic scholarship to college and earn an Accounting degree, in which she did all of those things with his help. We will remember Eddie as the most generous, selfless, excited, passionate, musically gifted blue eyed gentlemen from New York who gave it to you straight no matter what. We will say goodbye to Edward on February 14th at Palms West Funeral home from 4:00pm-8:00pm and honor him at mass on February 15th at Mary Immaculate Church at 11:00am.
