Edmond Aloysius Henry Sherriffe aka Eddie, was born on April 4, 1936, and died on September 21, 2026 at the age of 90. He was 1 of 6 children born to Imogene Anderson. He had 5 Siblings: Kenneth Braham, Marcella Albarus, Wilhel Green, Harry CamSmith, and Tencia Williams.

At a very young age, Eddie’s father, Cyril Sherriffe, unfortunately passed away in an accident. Eddie was born in Kingston Jamaica, lived temporarily in Windsor Castle in Portland with his mother, Imogene, before relocating back to Kingston. In his early 20’s Eddie served in the Jamaican Armed Services. He was stationed at the base at Up Park Camp in St Andrew and served for about 6 years. Although his training was primarily in the steelwork field, he also did work in construction and carpentry industries.

He relocated to Brooklyn U.S in 1968, where he continued in the steelwork industry. He eventually switched to the medical field where he worked as an OR Technician at Kings County hospital in New York. He contributed to raising his 3 children (Lyndon, Richard, and Jennifer) whom he had with Linnette Folkes. After their separation, he met and married Normalyn Sherriffe and had 4 more children, (Jamal, Dexter, Chantel, and Kevin) and helped to raise Normalyn’s daughter, Nickole). In 2002 after reaching retirement from the hospital position, he and the family relocated to Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He worked as a school bus driver for the local school system for another 12 years.

Besides work, Eddie loved his music, working in his garden, and holding philosophical conversations. He was very educated and loved to debate challenging and teasing subjects. Eddie traveled a long road in life. His younger years, he may have been a little rough and wild, but they were only one chapter in the story of the man he became. Over the years, Eddie came to cherish the things that mattered most, family, friendship, loyalty, and simply being there for the people he loved. He became a devoted family man and a true friend to many, someone whose presence could never quite be duplicated. His passing leaves an emptiness for those who love him, but also a lifetime of stories, laughter, and memories that will keep his spirit close.
