Ron Graydon went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2017 at the age of 76. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on February 25, 1941. He graduated from Pahokee High School in 1959 and Florida Atlantic University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Finance. In 1979 he accepted a job from the Water Control District as General Manager and retired in 2007. He served as President of the Florida Association of Special Districts from 1986 – 1988. He was named Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and was an active member of the Pahokee/Belle Glade Clubs. East Beach #3 Pump Station (Diversion Station) was dedicated and named the Dwight "Ron" Graydon Pump Station for his outstanding contribution, service and commitment to the people and communities of the Glades. Ron is survived by his wife (Mirtha) of 48 years; son Dwight II (Danielle) of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; daughter Yvette Munsey (Bret) of Leesburg, Virginia; two granddaughters and two grandsons. Also two sisters and two brothers and a big family of uncles and aunts. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Palm West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411, tel. # 561-753-6004. Interment to follow at the Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pahokee, Florida and Trustbridge (Hospice) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
