Doug Madigan passed peacefully on 8/29/24 while in hospice with his wife Laurie by his side. He had battled Glioblastoma for 8 months. His celebration of life will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship of West Palm Beach, 13969 Orange Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33412. Date to be announced. Doug was born in Lynn, Mass. He moved to South Florida with his parents, James and Shirley Madigan, as a young boy. He graduated from Seacrest Highschool, later known as Atlantic Highschool. He worked at Boynton Beach Fire Rescue for 23 years. His career encompassed being a Firefighter, Firefighter/Paramedic, Paramedic Officer, Operator/Engineer, Firefighter III and Aerial Operator. While working full time at the Fire Department, Doug began a new business called Madigan's K-9 Training Center. This business revolved around dog training and holding obedience classes for the public. He also trained police K-9's for multiple police departments, including the Boynton Beach Police Department, which led to him meeting, and ultimately marrying his wife Laurie (Voudren). Doug also enjoyed working on Leather crafts, which he referred to as "therapy"! Laurie re-introduced Doug to horses, as he had one growing up. They would haul horses to the woods almost every Saturday to ride. He also enjoyed team-roping. They even got married on horseback. After retiring from the Fire Department, Doug started a pest control route working for Pioneer. He retired from Pioneer in 2023. Doug is survived by his wife Laurie Madigan, his sister-in-law Carol White, niece Diane and her husband James O'Neil, niece Denise Keene and nephew James Madigan. He is also survived by his in-laws: Wayne Voudren, Terry & Kim Voudren, Jeffrey Voudren and Craig Voudren.
