April 28, 1955 — November 3, 2025

Douglas Lyn Taylor, born on April 28, 1955, in Columbus, OH was sent to his eternal home on November 3, 2025, in Wellington, Florida. He was the beloved son of Rupert and Martha Taylor and husband of Beverly Tew. Doug, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. After his graduation from Winter Haven High School, Doug served in the Army as an aircraft mechanic. After his service, he served as a building official in several municipalities in Florida, as well as the President of Tew & Taylor, Inc. since 2006. Doug had a passion for travel, having had the opportunity to explore the world in recent years and enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren in Oklahoma. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, his sons Eric (Karyn) and Kevin, brother Greg (Terri), four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He also leaves behind a wealth of family and friends who adored him dearly and shared in his joyful spirit. He was predeceased by his parents, Rupert and Marty, and his brothers Steve and Jeff. Those who knew Doug will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. Although Doug's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. The service to honor the life of Doug will be held on November 10th, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Oasis Church at 16401 Southern Boulevard, Loxahatchee FL 33470. Flowers may be sent to Palms West Funeral Home at 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Doug will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Lakeland, Florida.
