Dorothy J. Miller, 86, of Wellington, FL., passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Born in New Orleans, LA., she was the daughter of Paul C.W. and Nena L. (Robertson) Jensen. Dorothy grew up in New Orleans where she met her loving husband of 56 years, the late William J. Miller Jr. (82nd Airborne Division). After WWII, they moved to Cuba where they raised their family and lived until 1960. They later moved to Belle Glade where they lived out a wonderful and happy life with their family and friends. Among her many accomplishments, she was the neighborhood leader of the Belle Glade Girl Scouts, member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and various other volunteer organizations. Dorothy loved fishing, swimming in her pool, cooking and feeding everyone, and spending time with all her children and family. All her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. Dorothy?s memory will be cherished by her children, William J. Miller III, Bruce E. (Vickie) Miller, Richard C. (Cindy) Miller, Patricia (Samuel) Rogers; brother, Paul E.T. (Jule) Jensen; sister-in-law, Vivian Miller; grandchildren, Laura (Stephen), Billy, Kourtnie (Renji), George, Ana, Kara (George), Derek, Richard (Maritza), Nicole, Jason, Dustin (Rafael), Meghan (Brad), and Judson and 13 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10-11:30 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Palms West Funeral Home with a service beginning at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow services at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
