Dorothy May Hicks

Dorothy Mae (Laser) Hicks (83) went to be with our Lord on Sunday May 31, 2009. She was a devoted wife and mother, married 62 years to James Hicks, with two children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Perry and James Laser, her sister Lucy Woods, and her grandson James Souto. She leaves behind her husband James Hicks, children Steven Hicks and Susan Souto (husband Salvador III), and grandsons Daniel Souto and Salvador Souto IV (wife Jeri) with great grandchildren Elise and Evan, and her sister Dee Smalley. She was a member of Haverhill Baptist Church where she thought of the Sonshiners as her second family. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Haverhill Baptist Church. Contributions to Hospice in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
