DOROTHY MARIE BOBINSKI, formally of Saddle River, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 27, 2010. She was the daughter of Anna Gillis Drinkwater and Alfred Drinkwater. Dorothy graduated from Hackensack High School in 1940. After graduating, she became a secretary in the Bergen County school system. Soon after, she worked with her father Alfred who raced and trained standard bred horses. She remained an avid horsewoman her whole life, teaching many children and adults to ride. Her love for horses inspired her daughter Pat Fischer and her three grandchildren Sandra Van Dyke, Tyler and Julianna Fischer to ride, show jump, and play polo. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could have. She was always a caring and loving person to all. She was very generous and never complained to anyone. She continued to enjoy watching her daughter and grandchildren show their horses up until the end of her life. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Alexander Bobinski, her dear sister, Eleanor Behnke and brother, Alfred Drinkwater. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Fischer and Richard of Wellington, FL. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sandra Van Dyke, Tyler and Julianna Fischer all of Wellington. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Koenig and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Richard Heinl, her caregiver.
