Doris Shackleton Davies passed away in West Palm Beach, Florida on August 31, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's living a wonderful life devoted to her family and friends. Doris was born on September 5 in Syracuse, NY to Arnold and Gladys Shackleton of Cardiff, NY. Doris grew up in Cardiff and graduated from Lafayette High School. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Arnold, her brother Robert Shackleton, and her sister Dorothy Field of Cardiff. Surviving sister is Shirley Glover of Camillus, NY, her 4 children David Davies of Daytona Beach, FL, Daniel Davies of Harrisburg, PA, Lori Fischer of Wellington, FL and Thomas Davies of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In addition, 3 daughters-in-law, Melinda Masters, Sally and Karen Davies, a son-in-law Richard Fischer and 6 beautiful beloved grandchildren Jillian, Lisa, Eric, Mark, Bryan and baby Thomas. She has 27 surviving nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
