Donna Yulee Yancey (Hallman) 79, passed peacefully on February 17, 2021. Born to Beecher and Yulee Hallman on February 22, 1941 in Miami Florida. She was the youngest of four children. All her siblings, Betty, Emory and Tommy have preceded her in death. Donna was married for 30 years to Louis Yancey who also preceded her in death in 2003. Growing up, Donna was a member of Pembroke Road Baptist Church and sang in the gospel quartet. A quartet in which her Dad was also part of. They traveled around South Florida performing in many churches well into her teens.. She also loved watching Gaither Gospel Hour as she had sang so many of those songs herself many years ago. She continued to study and write in her Bible well into 2018 until she was no longer able. Her Bible study notes reflect her deep faith in the Lord. Donna loved animals especially horses and dogs. For several years Donna and her family including her "Ma" and "Pa" as she fondly called them lived on the "ranch" which is now part of Abacoa. The ranch at times had as many as 25 horses and Donna enjoyed it all. She also loved her many dogs that she had through the years. Her dog at passing "Caylee" was always by her side and she loved her like a child. She also loved to sew, quilt, cook, shop, and listen to country music. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially the dinner dances at Palm Lake Clubhouse. She always looked forward to Saturdays, we always went to lunch and she loved going to as many stores as we could in one day. She never tired. Donna is survived by her son Mark Saunders and daughter in law Carol, three grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew (Savannah) and Skylar, two great grandsons, Collier and Connor and her close companion and dance partner Willy Wilson who she loved so dearly. We are forever grateful to Fay Romano one of Mom's many longtime friends. For the last year she was with Mom almost every day looking after her and making sure she was okay. She's also Caylee's Mom now and she loves her as much as Donna did. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at JFK Hospital North and Trustbridge Hospice for all their care and compassion in taking care of my Mom.
