Later, he became a Learjet flight instructor at Flight Safety International at Palm Beach International Airport until his retirement. Don was a life-long Lutheran and was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wellington. He was the chairman of their building team, sang in the choir, was an usher, and an expert coffee and sweets taster. Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers at the future memorial service the family asks that contributions be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church Building Fund, a place that was very important and special to Don.
