Don Michael Davis

MAJ Don M Davis, 78, U.S. Army (Retired) of Royal Palm Beach passed away June 20, 2015. He proudly served in the US Army reaching the rank of Major. He completed Officer Candidate School and airborne jump school earning his airborne badge. MAJ Davis completed two tours of duty in Vietnam, 1966 to 1967 and 1968 to 1969. Highly decorated, awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals as well as Combat Infantry Badge. While serving as an instructor at Palm Beach Military Academy, he performed the duty of Casualty Affairs Officer for Palm Beach County. Don also served the county as a deputy at the PBSO as road patrol. His oldest daughter Donna predeceased him on May 29, 2015. Survived by former spouse Jane Ciampo (mother to his children) his sons Michael (Christy), James, David (Clara) daughter, Laurie (Manny), sisters Jenny (Bob), Judy (John), Christine (Daniel) and brother Pete. Grandchildren Rene, Alyssa, John, Sarah, Emily, David, Ethan. Special granddaughter Savannah and numerous other family and friends. He did it his way until the end . He will be missed by everyone
