Our Celebration of his life – Dominick F. Papia Dominick F. Papia – July 27th, 1932 – July 21st, 2021, was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Frank & Rosetta Papia. He had two younger twin brothers Andrew & Louis and his youngest sibling his sister Maryann. During his youth he was an active athlete and loved organized baseball and spent many days at the Boys Club participating in numerous sports at their facilities. He was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Coral Sea during the Korean War. Upon completion of his military service, he returned home to NYC and married his childhood sweetheart Mary Ann J. Cioffi and remained married until she passed in 2010. One of his proudest achievements was his completion of a BS degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. It took him 8 years of night school while still holding a full-time position with Sears Roebuck & Co. and supporting his young family. While working at Sears he was able to excel and reach the level of Executive in the New York Group. He completed his career with Sears after nearly 40 years of dedicated service. Shortly after he and his wife Mary Ann moved to South Florida and enjoyed living near and enjoying the beach and spending time with their family and their beloved pet cat Benjamin. He also enjoyed playing tennis, cruises and Atlantic City, N.J. He is survived by his son Ronald D. Papia & daughter Renee Ann Papia. He was predeceased by his son Randal F. Papia in 2007. Odds are he's watching those sea turtles hatch on the beach in heaven once again and catching a Brooklyn Dodgers game at Ebbetts Field.
