Dominick Donato Dragone, 78, of West Palm Beach, Fl, passed away on Friday November 26, 2010. He was born in Middletown, NY and lived in Poughkeepsie for most of his life before retiring to West Palm Beach, FL 13 years ago. He worked as a plant accountant for over 40 years at Central Hudson Gas & Electric on Poughkeepsie, NY. Prior to that he was stationed at West Point for four years, where he played clarinet in the West Point Army Band. He earned his degree in Accounting from Marist College. He is survived by his wife Gloria of 56 years, son Dominick (in Lake Havasu, AZ), his daughter Annmarie & husband Dave (in Frederick, MD), grandchildren Nicholas and Laura, brother Dan (in Pompano Beach), sister Toni & husband Ralph (in Albany, NY), nieces Jeri Ann & Wendy, nephews John, Brian, & Andy. He loved living in Riverwalk community of West Palm Beach, where he served as Treasurer of the Italian-American Club. He was a member of the bocce team there and also played on their bowling team. Dominick was a life-long music lover. He enjoyed listening to Big Band music and recently learned to play the piano. He also enjoyed traveling both internationally and here in the US. The family will receive friends from 3:30 – 6:30pm on Sunday November 28 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33441.
