Domenic G. Ruffa, Jr., of Wellington, Florida and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known to many that adored him as Junior or PapPap, passed away February 11, 2019. He was 82 years old. Son of Domenic and Helen Ruffa of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Domenic was a graduate of Westinghouse High School. He was a regional sales manager for Tropicana Products and worked with the Village of Wellington until his retirement. Married to his loving wife Elaine (deceased) for 58 beautiful years. Beloved by his four children: Renee M. Vazquez, Sharon Ann Calvo (Anthony), Domenic J. Ruffa, Sr. (Brenda Duffack), and Dino John Ruffa (Jennifer). The family relocated to Wellington, Florida in 1978, where they embraced their new community. Domenic was always one to volunteer or lend a helping hand. The community was more than where he lived; it was his home. Domenic was a fixture at all of his children's and grandchildren's functions. He never missed an event or a photo opportunity with those whom he was most proud. From dance recitals to parades, soccer matches to football games, Domenic was there. He was a long-time booster of the Forest Hill High School football program and a founding administrator and coach of the Royal Palm Beach Pop Warner football program. Known for his generosity to every child, he will be missed by many of all ages. Domenic is survived by eight grandchildren: Christina Garcia, Nicole Vazquez (Cristian), Gina Garcia, Katie Ruffa (Mathew), Anthony Vazquez (Lindsay), Frank Calvo, Domenic J. Ruffa, Jr., and Carson Ruffa; and his three little angels, great-grandchildren Giana, Kai and Luna. Also survived by his brother John Ruffa (Carol), sisters Louise Hanson, Janet Scrima, and Rosemarie Farabaugh; brother-in-law Joseph Vizzini; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Richard and Patty Pecora and Carol DeMasi. Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Sunday, February 17, 2019. The family will receive visitors from 11:00am to 12:45pm, followed by a memorial celebration at 1:00pm.
