Diane Louise Warring

Diane Warring, 92, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of love, family, adventure, and a lifetime of cherished memories. 

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Diane had an adventurous spirit, a genuine love for people, and a curiosity about the world that stayed with her throughout her life. 

As a longtime travel agent in Washington, D.C., she turned that curiosity and her natural ability to connect with people into a career she loved. She didn't simply book trips—she helped countless people discover the world, thoughtfully planning journeys that became treasured memories. 

Diane was also a devoted reader who almost always had a book nearby and a story to share. 

She was an extraordinarily fast typist, reaching more than 120 words per minute, and was skilled in shorthand and transcription—talents that spoke to both her sharp mind and remarkable abilities. 

Yet, for all the places she helped others discover and all the things that captured her curiosity, Diane's heart was always with her family. 

Her kitchen and table were at the center of so many family memories. Diane was a wonderful cook, and sharing a meal was one of the many ways she brought people together. Her table was a place to eat, certainly, but also to talk, laugh, tell stories, and stay awhile. 

Diane was the matriarch of her family in every sense of the word. 

No matter how many miles separated everyone, she had a way of keeping people connected. She made the phone calls, sent the cards, remembered the important things, and made sure the people she loved knew they were loved. 

And those who knew her well knew there was humor mixed in with all that love. 

Diane was not one for bad language, which made it all the more memorable when someone pushed her just far enough to earn a sharp, “Jackass!” It was a rare occurrence—and therefore usually a very good story. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Warring, who remained the love of her life, as well as her cherished grandson, Chris Jr. Her family finds comfort in imagining them together again. 

Diane leaves behind her devoted four children, Eddie Cummings (WPB) Michael Cummings(MD), Kelley Werner (MD) Cathy Spring (NC) and stepdaughter Lani Gibbons (MD), 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Through generations, she remained a constant source of love, encouragement, stories, and connection for the family she treasured so deeply. 

She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Dibona, Marie Cedrone, and Rochelle Powers from Massachusetts. 

Her 16th great-grandchild is expected soon. There is a particular sadness in knowing that this newest little one will miss meeting the matriarch of the family, but also something beautiful in knowing that Diane's love, stories, recipes, and family traditions will already be waiting for them. 

Whether she was passionately cheering for her beloved Marlins, reading a good book, cooking for a full house, or simply picking up the phone to check in, Diane made people feel remembered, welcomed, and loved. 

Over 92 years, Diane built a life that reached far beyond her own. 

It lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; in the journeys she helped others take; in meals and recipes passed down; in cards saved in drawers; in stories that will be told again and again; and in generations who will know her because those who loved her will keep her memory alive. 

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 14 at Saint Luke Catholic Church in Palm Springs, Florida.

Following the church services, a reception (Repast) will be held at the Fernley 2 Clubhouse 5775 Fernley Drive WPB, Florida 33415.

Diane will later be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Arlington National Cemetery, with services currently being scheduled.
