Diana F Iannuzzi

July 12, 1938 — October 7, 2024

Diana Iannuzzi, a devoted Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away on Monday morning, Oct 7th, 2024 after a brief illness. Diana was born in East Boston to Edith (Sulprizio) and Robert Scannelli. After marrying her one true love Paul Iannuzzi (predeceased) in 1959, they eventually moved the family to Burlington in 1968. Diana and Paul became owners of several restaurants over the years including Brigham's, Snacktime and Diana's Kitchen. For a past time, Diana was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues. She could always be found in the stands at her children's games, whether it be hockey, football, baseball or softball. She was actively involved in Burlington Pop Warner for many years, including leading the cheerleading organization. If she wasn't by the field, you could find her in the food truck serving her signature meatball subs. Aside from her family, there was nothing that Diana loved more than cooking. It didn't matter how many people she was cooking for, she would always serve a feast and do it with ease. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas when she was cooking for her family. In 1994 Diana and Paul moved to Greenway Village in Royal Palm Beach, FL which would become her home for the next 30 years. She met many lifelong friends whom she considered family. She was a longtime employee at Walmart where she held various supervisory positions for over 28 years. She was actively involved in her condo association, holding several positions on the board (including president) as well as being on the board of the Recreation Committee (again at times as president). Diana also enjoyed many outings with her friends as part of the Forever Young club (for which she was a board member) and the Wellington Senior club including weekly bingo, luncheons, shows and trips. She loved the slot machines at the casinos although lady luck wasn't always on her side. Diana also used her love of cooking to host many annual festivities at the Greenway Village rec center such as St. Patty's day dinners and Super Bowl parties. If Diana heard of anyone that was going to be alone for a holiday, she wouldn't hesitate to extend an invite for them to join her. There was always plenty of food! In her later years, many of those friends returned the favor to her. Diana was predeceased by her brother Joseph Scannelli. Diana was survived by Paul of Billerica, MA, Kenny (predeceased) and his wife Marybeth of Burlington, MA, and Sharon and her husband David of Tyngsborough, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Natalie Brehm, Katie Iannuzzi, Kenny Iannuzzi, Tara Krch, Shauna Semenza, and Lia and Sarah Nocella. Diana was the beloved great grandmother of Ava and Jaden Brehm, Emma Iannuzzi and Stella Semenza. She was a very special aunt to Cheryl Fischer of Danvers, MA and great aunt to Ashley Fischer of Austin, TX. Visiting hours will be held at the Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 on October 14th from 10:00 AM to 12:00. Funeral services will immediately follow at St. Rita Church at 13645 Paddock Dr, Wellington, FL 33414 at 1:00.
