Devendra Brijpaul Goorbarry

Devendra Brijpaul Goorbarry was born on November 8th, 1939 at Port Mourant, Guyana. He died on May 4th, 2024. At JFK hospital, Palm Beach. His loss was completely unexpected, and his family is profoundly saddened. He married Zorene Srimatee Sookram on June 3rd, 1962 at St. Joseph Anglican Church, Port Mourant, Guyana. They had 4 children, Andrea Rishika, Stephen Brijpaul, the late David Rene, and Reggie. He is survived by his grandchildren Ava Gabriela, Andrew Gabriel, and Alexander Giuseppe. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Jennifer Goorbarry and son-in-law Richard Gerlich. He was the son of the late John Brijpaul and Evelyn Annie Goorbarry. He was the brother of the late George Gagnauth and Dr. Madan Deo Goorbarry. He was brother-in-law of Carmen, Catherine and Victor. He was the uncle of Hilton, Richard, Bobby, Evelyn, Joan and Deborah nephew of David Haripaul and Caroline Goorbarry. He was the cousin of Savitri, lilawatie, Indrawatie, and the late Debbie, Boysie, Bajram and Maywah. And great family friends Patricia and Shanleigh and the late Skye King, His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply. The family sincerely appreciates your support during this difficult time. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.
